Quality Landscaping

Since the 1st of October 2008 planning permission has been required if you would like to pave over 5 square metres in your front garden using non permeable paving at a cost of £200 and a wait of up to 8 weeks for a decision. There are however several solutions including :

Using permeable paving i.e. block paving

Paving can be tilted towards flower beds thus allowing rainwater to drain down into the earth

In most cases the most pratical solution we have found is to install a soakaway and channel the water using a drainage gully down into it. The water is slowly released through the soil to the water table at a manageable rate. This in my opinion is the best solution as we can offer a choice of materials including a wide range of natural stone.
